The Associate of Arts degree is an undergraduate academic degree earned by students who complete a range of courses in the general education areas and also in areas of the student's interest. The program of study requiring 60 credits is designed to be completed in two years. Associate of Arts degree completion is beneficial to students who are pursuing a career field requiring an AA degree or desiring to work toward a four-year bachelor's degree at a later time. The coursework involved in an Associate of Arts degree is well-suited for an eventual liberal arts bachelor's degree in a wide variety of subject areas.
