A course designed to prepare prospective elementary teachers for effective teaching of science in elementary schools. Methods and materials are introduced and opportunities for practice and evaluation are available. Topics include critical thinking and questioning techniques, designing effective lesson plans and units.

The Technology Education program supports the STEM fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This program stresses important skills and knowledge of content, tools and processes that will allow you to help young students prepare for their future careers.   ACCREDITATIONS National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)/Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) GET INVOLVED IN YOUR MAJOR Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) Student North Dakota United (SNDU) Teacher Education Requirements Students are typically admitted into Teacher Education during their sophomore year or beginning of their junior year of college. This program requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and successful completion of the Praxis I test.
